Head Cook

Sunnymead Residential Living are seeking a Head Cook to join their busy team.

• Full time/Permanent – 35
  
  Hrs per week
• Competitive rate of pay with annual increment.
• Shift time – 8am-5.15pm

Job role to include:

• Create home style cooked meals
• Effective catering service delivery
• Menu planning, inclusive of dietary requirement of residents, IDDSI
• Ensure Food Safety Standards, Kitchen Hygiene, Audits and Records are up to date
• Health and Safety
• Staff Management;
  Appointment, Training, Supervision and Appraisal.

Skills required:

• Professional Cookery level 2/3 or equivalent
• 3 years experience working as a cook, preferably in a team lead role
• Knowledge of IDDSI
• Food Hygiene Certificate level 2/3 & HACCP level 2/3
• The ability to communicate positively with residents, relatives and colleagues. In a constructive and collaborative manner, and to have a genuine passion/desire to work with older people in a person centered manner
