TEAM LEADER
£14.63 per hour & great benefits. Full‑time position 42.5 hours per week (5 shifts) working Monday to Sunday, 6am‑11pm with full flexibility required. Opening and closing and weekend shifts will be expected as part of the role.
A look into the roleReporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.
As Team Leader you will:- Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
- Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
- Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
- Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
- Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
- Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
- You will be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role and a P250 Post Office check will be required from the successful candidate.
- You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer‑focused environment.
- A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
- Target driven to help the store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
- Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
