FTE TEMP Grade 7​/8 and French Teacher

Middle School or return of teacher to full contractual FTE

This assignment includes teaching French 6-8, Core 7/8 Math and Science. It is a temporary assignment effective immediately to March 14, 2026 or to return of teacher to full contractual FTE.

• Bachelor of Arts or Science or Bachelor of Education (Middle or Secondary training)
• Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch

• Demonstrated successful teaching experience with middle school-aged students
• A working knowledge of the current curriculum
• A willingness to be part of the LWMS middle school team
• Ability to comfortably work with and respond to a very involved parent community
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of current instructional strategies and assessment methods
• Evidence of ability to effectively use current assessment practices
• Demonstrated ability to use effective teaching practices in relation to the three principles of learning
• Evidence of ability to motivate middle school students
• Committed to stimulating student interest and confidence in learning
• Ability to create a sense of belonging for students
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a member of a grade level team and the entire Len Wood Middle School team
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Understanding of middle school philosophy and adolescent development
• Understanding of practices
• Commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children
