Position: Ongoing Music Teaching Role Available
An opportunity awaits at Len Wood Middle School for a 0.666 FTE Music Teacher effective September 1, 2026. Engage students in General Music 6 and Band 7/8 while fostering a love for music.

The ideal applicant will possess a Bachelor of Music degree and a current BC teaching certificate. Successful candidates should demonstrate excellent management skills, interpersonal communication, and experience with innovative teaching techniques. A passion for inspiring students and knowledge of the Fine Arts curriculum is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver General Music and Band lessons effectively

• Manage and organize school-wide music events

• Employ diverse teaching methods to engage students

• Collaborate with staff and communicate effectively with parents

• Work with students with diverse learning needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent credentials

• Valid BC teaching certificate required

• Experience with middle school music curriculum

• Understanding of Orff, Kodaly, and music technology

• Proven classroom management abilities
