Armstrong Elementary School is seeking a temporary K-5 Music Teacher, effective September 1, 2026. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Music degree, a valid BC teaching certificate, and relevant coursework in Orff or Kodaly methods. A commitment to fostering a love for music in young learners is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging music lessons to K-5 students

• Plan and execute school-wide concerts and events

• Manage classroom effectively to promote positive learning

• Utilize diverse instructional strategies and assessment methods

• Collaborate with staff to enhance the school’s Music program

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent

• Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership

• Successful experience in Elementary Music instruction

• Knowledge of the Fine Arts curriculum

• Experience working with students with special needs
