You will be working for a leading international engineering and consultancy organization active in the energy sector. The role sits within the Power & Energy department, based in Arnhem. This team focuses on large-scale energy infrastructure projects, including high-voltage substations and overhead transmission lines. The department operates in a multidisciplinary setting, bringing together civil, structural, and electrical engineering expertise to deliver integrated and future-proof solutions.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a Junior 3D Modeler who wants to develop into a specialist in high-voltage transmission lines and towers. You will work within a dynamic team of modelers and engineers and receive guidance from senior colleagues. Collaboration, learning, and technical development are key elements of this role.

You will contribute to projects from design through to realization, helping to translate engineering concepts into practical, buildable solutions.

• Creating 3D Tekla Structures models based on project specifications and input from fellow engineers
• Collaborating closely with project managers, civil engineers, and electrical engineers to resolve design challenges, including:
• Connection and node designs, where steel profiles are selected and detailed into practical and aesthetically sound structural solutions
• Thinking ahead during the design phase to support efficient construction methods, such as modular building concepts
• Converting Tekla models into clear drawings and workshop packages to support fabrication and construction
• Supporting or working under the guidance of senior modelers and engineers in developing technical layouts and detailed structural drawings (the level of guidance can be tailored to your ambitions and learning goals)
• Ensuring designs comply with company standards, safety regulations, and project requirements
• Participating in design reviews and contributing to improvements in design quality and efficiency
• Preparing documentation, material lists, and technical files for project delivery
• Updating and revising existing drawings and models when project requirements change

• Completed MBO-level education in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a comparable field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience, for example at an engineering or consultancy firm
• Ability to look beyond your own discipline and connect with other fields, such as civil and electrical engineering
• Good command of both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
• Experience in the energy sector is an advantage
• Experience with Tekla Structures (BIM) is an advantage
• Experience with steel structures and steel design is an advantage
