Electrical and Instrumental Engineer; E&I Engineer

Position: Electrical and Instrumental Engineer (E&I Engineer)
Do you want to play a key role in accelerating the energy transition? RIFT is looking for a System Engineer (E&I) who can translate technical improvements into practical applications and thrives on optimizing process automation. In this role, you will support our pilot plant in Arnhem. You will be the link between the operations team and technical support, ensuring our installations run optimally, quickly resolving any issues, and implementing innovations.

You will contribute to the further development of our technology and ensure a safe, efficient, and future-proof testing environment. With your technical expertise and organizational skills, you will help achieve RIFT's mission: commercializing Iron Fuel Technology to make a global impact.

What you do as a Plant Process Engineer

Develop and implement technical improvements to the installation, based on test data and findings, among other methods.

Optimise process automation and control systems.

Install, maintain and calibrate sensors and measurement and control equipment.

Draw up maintenance plans and procedures to ensure the installations operate as efficiently as possible.

Maintain the list of outstanding issues for troubleshooting and improvements, prioritise actions and assign them to colleagues.

Coordinate and manage MoC processes relating to modifications to installations and working procedures, in collaboration with the Process Development Engineer.

You will participate in safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL) to identify and mitigate safety risks.

Hebt MBO/HBO werk- en denkniveau in Elektrotechniek, Meet- en Regeltechniek of Besturingstechniek, bij voorkeur in de warmte-, energieproductie-, (petro) chemische of vergelijkbare industrie.

Bezit kennis of affiniteit met industriële automatisering en procesinstallaties.

Hebt ervaring met onderhoud, troubleshooting en procesoptimalisatie

Werkt graag in een dynamische, innovatieve omgeving, met jouw hands-on mentaliteit waarin je het leuk vindt om problemen te analyseren en op te lossen

Hebt ervaring met Management of Change (MoC) processen.

Hebt sterke leiderschapsvaardigheden en kunt onder druk prioriteiten stellen.
