We are looking for a mission‑driven Cloud Engineer to join our IT department. As member of the Cloud Platform & IT‑Security team you are responsible for developing and maintaining our Cloud environment. You’ll work within a skilled internal engineering team supporting the technology behind Allego’s European charging infrastructure operations.

• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical architecture discussions.
• Work with Azure Dev Ops to manage work items, repositories, branching, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with functional consultants and internal customers to analyse requirements and translate them into clean, scalable solutions.
• Break down work into deliverables and provide accurate time estimations.

• Deep expertise in Azure, and preferably also AWS.
• Understanding of compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.
• Professional‑level skills in IaaC tools.
• Experience with designing secure, scalable, resilient cloud architectures.
• Experience with pipeline design and automation with tools like Azure Dev Ops or others.
• Experience with virtual networks, routing, firewalls, VPNs, Load balancers, DNS.
• Experience with cloud‑native monitoring (Azure Monitor, AWS Cloud Watch).
• Experience with container runtime solutions like Kubernetes (AKS, EKS) and container‑centric architectures.
• Knowledge of automation scripting and coding skills (Power Shell, Bash, Python, C#) for tooling and automation.
• Awareness of Cloud Cost management and Fin Ops principles.
• Fluency in English (additional skills in Dutch, German and/or French are considered a plus).
