Job Description
For our European Engineered Materials department we are looking for a dynamic and flexible  Electrical Engineer (m/f/i)  with knowledge of high voltage motors / transformers who enjoys working with domestic and international clients to evaluate their insulation systems according to American, European, and international requirements.

Due to testing being done at client’s facilities, you are requested to travel frequently to different countries in Europe to witness the testing.

Responsibilities

Determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, and determine project specifications such as test plan, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input and available supplemental data.

Projects may include travel to witness tests at client sites. Initiate communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services.

Follow up on contacts from clients.

Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, negotiate completion date and sample requirements.

Act to address client concerns and resolve client issues.

Provide technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow‑up services. Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer’s information and applying UL requirements.

Be familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature.

Examine samples for compliance with UL requirements and notify client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.

Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants and establishing completion dates.

Coordinate administrative aspects of project management.

May serve as Project Handler of record and/or Reviewer of record as assigned.

Communicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.

Prepare Follow‑Up Service Procedures and information pages.

Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

Resolve engineering issues associated with FUS Non Conformances by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the Non Conformance.

Analyze test program for adequacy and sequence.

May coordinate and/or perform File Reviews, as directed.

Qualifications

Associate or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience

Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills

English language skills (fluent speaking/reading and writing is a must have)

German language skills (speaking/reading and writing is a must have)

Spanish/Italian language skills (nice to have)

Strong customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile

Good analytical skills and looking for continuous improvement

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Great cooperation skills and open for feedback

Willingness to frequently travel to different countries in Europe.
