Engineering Team Leader | Shipbuilding - Electrical discipline

Are you a  people-focused engineering leader  with a passion for developing teams and delivering technical excellence? We are looking for an  Engineering Team Leader  to coordinate a team of  electrical and systems engineers  working on  advanced maritime installations.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will play a key part in  building a high-performing engineering team , ensuring the right expertise, tools, and processes are in place to successfully deliver innovative projects for the maritime industry.

What You Will Do   Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 electrical and systems engineers
Support the personal and professional growth of team members through mentoring, feedback, and performance management
Ensure the team has the right skills, knowledge, and capacity to meet current and future project demands
Foster knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department
Work closely with Project Managers and Technical Project Managers to align technical execution with project objectives
Contribute to the standardization, optimization, and professionalization of engineering processes and practices
Support the Engineering Manager with operational planning, resource management, and departmental development
Create a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture

What You Bring   Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Affinity with electrical and systems engineering within a complex technical environment
Proven experience leading and developing teams, including first-line HR responsibilities
Experience working in a project-driven or matrix organization is an advantage
Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset
The ability to balance people leadership with operational and business objectives
