Smart Metering Engineer

The energy transition requires reliable and accurate smart meters. DEKRA is growing and building a new Smart Energy Metering team. Are you an enthusiastic engineer with a background in electrical engineering? Would you like to apply your technical expertise while helping to build a new service offering within an international organization? Then this is your opportunity! As a Smart Metering Engineer, you will be one of the first experts in this field  will perform testing on smart energy meters, evaluate measurement results, work with international standards, and act as a key technical partner for both customers and colleagues.

In addition, you will actively contribute to the development of test methods, accreditations, and the further growth of our Smart Metering activities.
Responsibilities   Testing AC and DC energy meters according to global standards such as IEC 62052, IEC 62053, ANSI C12, OIML, and others.
Preparing test plans, measurement reports, and technical documentation.
Interpreting test results and standards such as IEC 62052, IEC 62053, ANSI C12, MID, OIML, and related standards.
Supporting accreditation and certification processes.
Acting as the technical point of contact for customers.
Collaborating with colleagues from EV Charging, Electrical Safety, Electronics, and Cybersecurity.
Staying up to date with developments in smart metering and intelligent energy networks.
