Nextlink is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Principal IFS Solution Architect to lead the design, strategy, and evolution of our IFS Applications and IFS Cloud ecosystem. In this business-critical role, you will serve as the ultimate technical and functional authority, translating complex corporate objectives into scalable, future-proof architectural blueprints.
You will guide cross-functional implementation teams, minimize technical debt through standardized design principles, and act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design GovernanceEnd-to-End Design: Lead the overarching architectural design of IFS Applications/IFS Cloud solutions spanning core modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Service Management, HR, and CRM).
Documentation & Standards: Develop comprehensive architectural documentation, detailed integration maps, data flows, and strict configuration specifications.
Technical Debt Mitigation: Evaluate system customization requests and fiercely advocate for standardized, out-of-the-box, or low-code/no-code solutions to preserve system up gradability.
Governance: Ensure strict design consistency, robust solution governance, and adherence to global architectural standards across all work streams.
Lifecycle Leadership: Guide functional and technical teams through the full lifecycle of complex IFS deployments, upgrades, and cloud transformations.
System Integration: Architect secure and high-performing integrations between IFS and external ecosystems (MES, CRM, EAM, WMS, etc.) utilizing IFS Connect, REST APIs, XML
, and modern middleware platforms.Data & Security: Oversee configuration activities to ensure strict alignment with performance and security standards, while guiding overarching data migration strategies, mapping, and validation efforts.
Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with business executives to align long-term corporate strategies with IFS system capabilities.
Workshop Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority during design workshops, solution reviews, and steering committee approvals.
Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to developers, functional consultants, project managers, and internal end-users.
Change Management: Conduct thorough impact analyses for change requests, future enhancements, or new module adoptions.
Testing & Cutover: Lead rigorous solution testing efforts (SIT, UAT) and drive meticulous cutover and go-live planning.
Lifecycle Management: Monitor system performance post-implementation to drive automation, process optimization, and proactive adoption of new IFS Cloud releases.
10–15+ years of progressive experience implementing, configuring, and architecting IFS Applications or IFS Cloud systems.
Subject Matter Expertise: Deep operational knowledge in one or more core IFS domains:
Manufacturing, Projects, Service Management, Supply Chain, or Finance.Architectural Mastery: Advanced understanding of ERP architecture, underlying data models, configuration principles, cloud environments, and cloud deployment models.
Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes in asset-intensive, project-based, manufacturing, or service management industries.
