Environment, Health and Safety Manager

I am currently supporting a leading food and ingredients manufacturer in their search for an experienced  Interim HSE Manager  to join their team in  Wageningen, Netherlands .

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving Health, Safety & Environmental performance across a manufacturing site, ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a growing organisation.

CONTRACT:

12-Month Contract (Potential for Permanent) | Freelance Professionals Considered

RATE:  Competitive Market Rates

Key Responsibilities

Lead and maintain Health, Safety & Environmental management systems

Ensure compliance with relevant HSE, environmental, and food manufacturing regulations

Conduct and support site audits, inspections, and risk assessments

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions

Promote and develop a proactive safety culture throughout the site

Deliver HSE guidance, training, and support to site employees and stakeholders

Monitor HSE performance and ensure best practices are implemented

Requirements

5+ years of HSE, Health & Safety, or Quality experience within manufacturing

Food & Beverage industry background

Strong knowledge of food legislation across Europe and wider international markets

GMP certification or strong GMP knowledge

Experience working with BRC and/or ISO 22000 standards

Dutch language skills would be advantageous

Located within one hour of Wageningen or willing to commute to site daily

EU work authorisation required
