Job Summary
Part‑time adjunct position for Apprenticeship Instructor located in the new Clauson Center for Innovation and Skilled Trades on the Arnold campus. Responsibilities include classroom and lab instruction in Electrical, HVAC, Low Voltage or Plumbing trade. Instructor must follow the curriculum outline, manage the classroom, and deliver content via the Canvas online platform. Prior teaching experience is not required; strong industry knowledge and a desire to share expertise with future skilled trade workers are essential.
Instructors must adhere to Anne Arundel Community College’s Adjunct Faculty Instructional policies and procedures.

- Prepare materials needed for course instruction, labs, testing, supplies.
- Provide basic lab maintenance and track inventory of equipment and tools utilized.
- Familiar with NEC code book.
- Relate instruction and material to course objectives.
- Discuss and demonstrate workplace safety, personal safety and power/hand tool safety.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with students, other faculty and staff.
- Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in a timely manner.
- Journeyman/Master license or Journeyman level of knowledge in electrical, HVAC, Low Voltage or Plumbing trade.
- Safety awareness and knowledge of NEC Code book as appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, terminology, tools and equipment used in the trade.
OSHA 10, OSHA 30 preferred.
