Schedule: Varies; regular in‑person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other duties.
Salary: $1,170.00 – $1,263.00 per faculty‑load hour
Position SummaryThe Department of Visual Arts at AACC seeks instructors to teach ART‑102 – Three‑Dimensional Design. Responsibilities include assessing student progress toward learning objectives, meeting deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online, and/or off‑campus classes.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years full‑time professional work experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years teaching experience.
- Link to an online portfolio with samples of professional work that demonstrate expertise.
- Two years teaching experience in 3D Design.
- Experience teaching in higher education in an online, synchronous format.
