Location: Arnold/Main Campus, Arundel Mills; evenings in Arnold or Hanover, MD.

Work type: Hourly and Temporary, Part‑Time Faculty, Exempt

Salary Range: $50 per class meeting hour

Work Mode: Requires regular in‑person presence on campus or alternate locations, depending on business needs.

The English Language Learning program seeks part‑time instructors for the Community Interpreter Certificate program. Candidates will teach evening classes in Arnold or Hanover, MD. • Teach WLS‑325 and WLS‑326 Foundations of Community Interpreting Parts 1 & 2.
• Assess and record student progress and attendance.
• Submit grades and other administrative tasks by required deadlines.
• Participate in department professional learning events.

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred).
• Language proficiency in at least two languages (ACTFL Advanced High or above, or equivalent).
• Completion of a 40‑hour Community Interpreter Train the Trainer course before or by June 30; department funds will cover the cost. Course link:
• Professional simultaneous and/or sequential interpreting experience.
• Adult education or teaching experience in both face‑to‑face and online formats.
