Position Type: Part‑Time Faculty, Exempt
The Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Institute at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is looking for part‑time faculty to teach between 1–3 classes in Homeland Security (HLS courses). Courses are offered in‑person at our Arnold campus, Glen Burnie Town Center, Arundel Mills, partnering high schools, and online (synchronous and asynchronous).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. Employment‑based visa sponsorship (including H‑1B) is not available for any position. Only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia will be eligible for employment. The college will annually review and may expand the list of eligible states.
Job Duties And Responsibilities- Teach HLS courses (1–3 classes).
- Assess student progress toward learning objectives (formal & informal).
- Submit grades, attendance, and required information by deadlines.
- Adhere to safety procedures and departmental standards.
- Experience in Homeland Security relevant to HLS course offerings.
- A master’s degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice or similar area.
- Experience with the CANVAS learning management system.
