Salary Range: $110,590 – $138,237
Position SummaryThis position provides technical solutions in the design, implementation, management, administration and troubleshooting of the Enterprise‑wide data network infrastructure/Hybrid Cloud environments. It requires the ability to analyze the needs of user departments and establish priorities for network design accordingly.

Job Duties & Responsibilities- Lead efforts to develop and implement comprehensive network infrastructure system designs that meet business requirements using scalable technology.
- Provide design, configuration, implementation, monitoring, and support for enterprise/Hybrid network infrastructure (routers and switches), wireless, and video systems.
- Execute ongoing network security, health maintenance plans, processes, procedures, documentation, and operations in line with industry standards.
- Provide guidance on the implementation and administration of system monitoring tools; monitor performance and tuning of key technology components and recommend changes.
- Use project management skills to manage assigned projects, report progress, and lead upgrades or expansion of the network.
- Develop and maintain document repositories and architectural diagrams for installations, administration, maintenance, and use of systems.
- Plan and execute change management processes for the hybrid network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Assist in the college‑wide budget planning process. Support the development of SOWs, RFPs, and RFQs for technologies and maintenance, in close collaboration with Purchasing.
- Maintain expertise of current hybrid Cloud networking trends and provide guidance on direction of technologies.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and properly ventilated installation environments with UPS units for outages.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and students to develop new technology skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Current industry‑standard Cloud related certification (e.g., Extreme ECNA, Aruba ACMA, ACMP, or other recognized networking certification).
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with Extreme Networks wired network infrastructure products and management software.
- Considerable experience with cloud (AWS, Azure) networking and/or security.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Enterprise Wireless, LANs & WANs, Ethernet and Fiber Optic cabling infrastructures.
- Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (RIP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, IGRP), IPSEC, wireless and TCP/IP protocols, switched Ethernet and VLAN technologies.
- Layer 2 and 3 LAN design and operation.
- Extreme Networks Associate, Specialist (ECS) or Professional (ECP).
- Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Extreme Networks Routers and Switches, Panduit Cable Management Systems, HPE/Aruba Wireless, Fat Pipe WAN Optimization, and APC UPS experience.
- Experience with Extreme Networks Routers and Switches.
- Experience with Panduit Cable Management Systems.
- Experience with HPE/Aruba Wireless.
- Experience with Fat Pipe WAN Optimization.
- Experience with APC UPS.
