Job Summary

Holy Family Parish is seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and student-centered Math Teacher to teach grades 4-8. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, standards-based mathematics instruction that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love of learning. This teacher will support the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of students within a Christ-centered, inclusive classroom environment, while upholding the mission and values of the school.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate math instruction aligned with curriculum standards and school goals.
  • Teach concepts including number sense, operations, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, data analysis, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Incorporate real-world applications, manipulatives, technology, and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and accommodate multiple learning styles.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and communicate academic progress to parents/guardians.
  • Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and respectful classroom culture that supports collaboration and active learning.
  • Promote student responsibility, critical thinking, and engagement in mathematics.
  • Ensure a safe learning environment and adhere to school policies regarding behavior management and supervision.
Collaboration & Professional Engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff on curriculum development, student support, and school initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff regarding student progress and instructional strategies.
Catholic Identity & Community Participation
  • Model and uphold the values, mission, and teachings of the Catholic Church in daily interactions.
  • Integrate faith and Catholic values into classroom instruction where appropriate.
  • Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and service projects as part of the school community.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field required.
  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility (preferred or required depending on school/state).
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, pedagogy, and best practices in instruction.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of student abilities and learning styles.
  • Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with educational technology to support instruction and student engagement.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support and uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
  • Successful completion of background checks and diocesan Safe Environment training.
