As a Senior Modular Designer you will be responsible for leading the process for modular projects, ensuring that each design is both aesthetically pleasing and functional while adhering to industry standards and client specifications. You will work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and construction teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective modular solutions alongside passionate individuals who demonstrate initiative, take ownership for project work, and exhibit a high level of personal leadership, conviction and spirit of innovation.

Duties, Knowledge and Responsibilities:

• Expertise in AutoCAD, CADWorks and AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Demonstrates expertise in drafting and development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), as well as modular design (steel structures, equipment, piping).
• Ability to create conceptual 3D models from scratch to serve as basis for initial project planning and cost estimating.
• Brings expertise and demonstrate capability in modular design (steel structures, equipment,
• piping).
• Has the ability to provide direction and explanation for in-plant design (plant layouts, process areas, interconnecting piping / racks).
• Partners with the sales team to estimate designer work.
• Collaborates with others to ensure accurate designs that eliminates errors during fabrication.
• Has the ability to create, read, comprehend, and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, detailed/Mechanical/Structural/Piping layouts, and Isometrics.
• Is capable of creating line, manual valve, and site tie-in lists.
• Checks equipment and other piping components form cut sheets when it arrives to verify accuracy in design.
• Coordinates with electrical engineer to model basic electrical components. (electrical transfer systems, panels, motors, control valves, etc.).

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience
• Experience in managing other designers a plus.
• Navisworks Freedom/Simulate/Manage
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment on fast-track projects.
• Self-directed and forward thinking with a strong work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with varying scope and effectively prioritize workload to ensure deliverables are met
• Ability to work with shop lead to discuss design constructibility concerns in an efficient, constructive manner
• Using design leadership to make tough design decisions and the ability to live by them
