Position Summary:Position Summary:Provides support to civil engineers in the design of projects consistent with the focus of the firm.Primary Position Duties:Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related civil engineering tasks
Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, visual aids, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications for civil engineering projects consistent with the focus of the firm.
Assists in the preparation of calculations and other supporting documentation for public and private projects
Participates in project team meetings and follows procedures outlined in Project Management Standards manual
Position Requirements:
Fluent English with reading, written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and other video conferencing software.
Ability to collect and analyze data, apply problem solving skills to specific design tasks, develop creative solutions, work alone or as part of a project team, and demonstrate attention to detail.
Effective communication skills are essential for this positionEducation or Skills:Required:
Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
Current Driver’s License
Preferred:
Minimum of five (5) years civil engineering experience
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software
