All About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you pick up shifts. You must engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to attempts to contact you or fail to work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated.
Communication and ability to work when the business demands it are critical to success in this role. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule before using the myTime app to pick shifts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and assisting as needed.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store.
• Promote and educate guests about Target Loyalty programs and various fulfillment services; direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
• Assist guests with order pick up, drive up, and registry services while maintaining service quality and speed.
• Tell guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Understand and explain Wallet and other Target App features to guests.
• Handle returns following Target policies and coordinate with leaders as needed to resolve guest concerns.
• De-escalate situations with guidance from leaders and maintain a positive guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and assist with stocking during store hours.
• Support cash handling and cash office processes as needed; comply with safety policies and report hazards.
• Assist with compliance across federal, state, and local requirements as applicable to duties (e.g., alcohol laws where relevant).
• All other duties based on business needs.

Physical and Work Environment

• Accurately handle cash and operate cash registers; support cash office as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions; be mobile for the duration of a shift.
