• Contribute to the development of clinical governance and medicines safety services.
• Support internal governance work streams within the primary care contracting team.
• Attend Community Pharmacy meetings and plan community pharmacy work programmes.
• Develop specialist medicines optimisation governance and safety packages.
• Co-ordinate support and advice to improve the safety and quality of prescribing.
• Undertake quality monitoring governance visits and produce detailed reports.
• Implement local and national governance policies and propose changes to practices.
• Co-ordinate the production of guidance, policies, and procedures related to community pharmacy.
• Facilitate partnerships for community pharmacies with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support the assessment and review of community pharmacy services.
• Investigate medicines incidents in community pharmacies.
• Provide medicines optimisation advice to patients, carers, and service users.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and lead promotional initiatives.
• Liaise with senior staff and share good practice across local authorities.
