DescriptionPriory Hospital Arnold is recruiting an Assistant Psychologist to join the team. This role contributes to all aspects of the Psychology department’s work with patients, particularly in assessment and treatment across acute and PICU wards.
What you'll be doing- Join the team on the PICU ward and support patient recovery by assisting with assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Complete a range of assessments with patients to develop individual treatment formulations and plans.
- Facilitate regular groups on all four wards.
- Collaboratively assess risk with patients, focusing on suicide risk and challenging behaviour where applicable.
- Contribute to ensuring best practice in positive behaviour support, including carrying out functional analyses and developing/maintaining/monitoring Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) care plans.
- Assist with specific psychological assessments as needed and contribute to research and audit; adhere to legal responsibilities relevant to data collection and analysis.
- Perform other duties as required that are relevant to data collection and analysis.
- Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with colleagues, patients, and visitors; ensure accurate communication with staff, patients, and external agencies; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Priory Healthcare policies and procedures.
Essential for the role – Assistant Psychologist
Applicants must hold a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited degree in Psychology.
