Matthew Arnold Schoolis an oversubscribed 11-18 school with over 1,300 students, serving communities across west Oxford. We are proud of our high standards, strong academicoutcomes and commitment to inclusion, particularly in supporting disadvantaged students to succeed.

We are seeking areliable and hardworking Casual Site Assistant to join our Site Team onan ad hoc basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoyspractical work and takes pride in maintaining safe, clean and well-presentedenvironments. Working under the direction of the Site Supervisor and Assistant Business Manager, you will help support the day-to-day operation of the school site, ensuring our facilities remain safe, secure and welcoming for students,staff and visitors.

• Undertake general cleaning, maintenance and site duties.
• Carry out litter picking and empty bins across the school grounds.
• Assist with setting up and clearing rooms for events, examinations and school activities.
• Support the preparation and reinstatement of facilities following events.
• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery following appropriate training.
• Follow all health and safety, safeguarding and site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Site Team and wider school staff.
• Undertake training and other duties appropriate to the role.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible, proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Awareness of health and hygiene requirements.
• A willingness to undertake training and professional development.
• Basic knowledge of site maintenance, cleaning and operational duties.
• Experience delivering a responsive, customer-focused service.
