Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Arroyo Grande, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help deter unauthorized access and report any unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and enforcement of site policies to help deter potential risks within the healthcare setting.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site-specific protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or medical incidents, by following established procedures and collaborating with healthcare staff and first responders.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
