Overview

WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME AND PART TIME) — Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full time and part time WAITER/WAITRESS positions at Artesia Christian Home, 11614 East 183rd Street, Artesia, CA 90701.

Artesia Christian Home, Artesia, CA 90701.

Schedule:

Full time and part time; days and hours may vary. Fixed pay rate: $18.50 per hour. More details upon interview.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on combinations of food and drinks; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences; be aware of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate orders and accommodate special requests.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and work well with others; stay flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Handle cash and tickets following proper procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information as appropriate.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor as needed.
• Set up and clean the dining room before and after service; work with other departments during events.
• Operate equipment as needed (e.g., telephones, beverage machines, coffee machines).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Previous serving experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
