Job DescriptionThe General Maintenance Laborer provides safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and buildings at CMI’s customer site in Artesia, NM.
ShiftWednesday – Sunday, 1pm – 10pm
Key Job Functions- Maintain, replace light fixtures, motors; use joint compound to patch holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repair or replace sink faucets, water coolers, toilets, urinals; paint structures and equipment.
- Repair or replace stone pavers/steps; hang doors and install door locks; replace broken window cranks.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery as required.
- Change lights, perform drain maintenance.
- Perform housekeeping of mechanical spaces and rooms.
- Move furniture and equipment.
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled duties in other maintenance trade areas; and do other work as assigned or required.
- Must have and maintain a valid NM driver’s license.
- Must be able to climb ladders, crouch, crawl, grasp, and handle objects.
- Must be able to pick up and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Requires practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and electrical work.
