Oilfield Electrician – Rogue Industrial Group (RIG)
Location: Jal, NM and surrounding areas
Schedule: 5/2 rotation (5 days on, 2 days off)
Hours: 10–12 hour days; rotational weekend call‑outs required
Pay: $35–$55 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities- Continual field maintenance and troubleshooting of circuit breakers, limit switches, overload relays, motor starters, and electrical control circuits in an upstream environment
- Knowledge of and understanding tank battery facilities
- Able to utilize technical skills to troubleshoot production instrumentation, electronics, and electrical components
- Troubleshoot pump panels at a tank battery facility
- Install, repair, or replace 120‑V AC/DC motors, as well as hydraulic and gas electrical controls
- Working knowledge of PLC switch control circuits
- Provide field instrumentation support for all process equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, electronic systems)
- Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting, and alternative electrical parts
- Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Experience troubleshooting motor starters and VFDs/VSDs
- Able to perform electrical equipment installations, inspections, and troubleshooting to maximize production and reliability
- Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance to correct problems
- Familiar with installing, swapping, and testing single‑ to three‑phase motors
- Test and commission integrated and non‑integrated electrical systems (e.g., switch gear, network relays)
- Ability to use a megger and multimeter
- Use reference documentation to size conductors, overload, and short‑circuit protection
- Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures (federal, state, and local)
- Willing to undergo background check and driving record check
- Willing and able to pass DOT drug screening / physical exam
- Minimum of 4 years electrician experience required
- Minimum of 2 years upstream experience required
- Journeyman electrician license preferred but not required
