- Purchase a broad, highly mixed and/or technical category of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies, which may involve contract negotiations, material deviation, and other complex considerations. Administer and direct orders on a timely and economical basis with the best combination of price, quality, and delivery.
- Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing staff and plant production control staff regarding projected production schedules and purchase order status. Maintain current, accurate, open‑order status of all purchases.
- Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve commercial related issues.
- Process non‑conforming material requests with internal departments and supply chain partners.
- Coordinate necessary product specification revisions and diversions as needed to meet plant production schedules.
- Maintain system accuracy, including lead‑time, pricing, current supplier information, and purchase order data.
- Monitor supplier performance by ensuring product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintain appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers.
- Relevant experience in Oil and Gas, High‑mix low‑volume OEM manufacturing, or precision rotating equipment.
- High initiative to resolve issues or complex problems that may arise.
- 5+ years of related procurement experience.
- Working knowledge of purchasing principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Understanding of customer needs and expectations.
- Proficiency with computer systems, spreadsheets, database management, and MRP system.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and to train other employees.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks; meet deadlines; concentrate on details.
- Analyze and interpret data to make recommendations; maintain professional competence and ethical integrity.
- 5% travel required.
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (Not Required).
- 5+ years of related procurement experience, including purchasing, inventory control, contract negotiation, supply management, and supplier relationships.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Relocation Package may be available. Subject to consideration based on location and role.

Compensation DetailsAnnual Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
Additional CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position: $70,000 - $90,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
