Position: SOCIAL WORKER (FAMILY ADVOCACY) with Security Clearance
Duties
* Carries out program management responsibility for the installation Family Advocacy Program (FAP), ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs. Holds primary responsibility for installation FAP executive functions.
* Represents FAP to (or on behalf of) the installation, group, squadron leadership through multiple installation and functional area organizations.
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Carries full professional responsibility for assigned cases presenting a wide range of psychosocial and environmental problems from prevention, intervention, and treatment through case closure and/or transfer.
* Works to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services. Requirements Conditions of employment

* At a minimum, qualification requirements stipulated by the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for the 0185 occupational series must be met.
* Selective Placement Factors:
Must have the following minimum qualifications IAW DOD directive: (cont)
* Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice clinical social work (LCSW) independently in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. (cont)
* Two years of experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse. Practice will require clinical privileges at the host MTF. Must maintain independent active clinical privileges for (cont)
* the duration of employment. Must sustain current competency to practice at the independent level. (cont)
* Must have practiced as an independent licensed clinical social worker within past two years. (cont)
* Government civilian providers must meet all applicable credentialing requirements IAW military treatment facility guidelines and be fully qualified to perform within the scope of their practice.
* Must possess and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions, Social Work Series 0185 + IOR. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree:
Successfully completed a master's degree with a major in social work or have fulfilled all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

NOTE:

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes
1) Possess the professional knowledge of social work practices, principles, and theories to carry full professional responsibility for cases involving a wide range of psychosocial and environmental problems;
2) Possess knowledge of the organization, management, and administration of child and family welfare services to perform program planning and develop and maintain public understanding and sound working relationships with local agencies and community agencies;
3) Possess knowledge of a wide array of problems and disorders of children and families and the varied resources needed to treat them;
4) Possess the ability to evaluate and determine the best application of multiple complex helping systems, various professions, and organizations; how they affect child and family welfare; and the multiple uses of such systems,…
