Duties - Performs pretest, operational (functional), and final testing; final tuning; alignment; and/or calibration of highly complex Direct Digital Controls (DDC) electronic systems, industrial electronic controls, pneumatic components, Hydraulic loading equipment, and/or subassemblies and Preventative Maintenance (PM).
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and supporting equipment for different kinds of structures such as large office buildings, warehouses, hangars, communication center, link training rooms, and other areas with sensitive equipment with complex problems and extensive repairs requiring judgment to locate malfunctions.
- Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.
- Repairs, and/or modifies various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment characterized by moderate complexity of design, construction, and function.
- Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC/ systems and equipment and electronic control systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
- Plans and lays out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders for large complex commercial and industrial systems and supporting equipment used to condition air in warehouses, hangers, and large office buildings and mission critical assets.
- Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Uses and assures proper fit of required safety equipment and clothing, such as safety shoes, glasses, ear protection, face masks, and/or hard hats. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Position requires CFC/NCFC Certification (universal) as required by 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart
F., EPA.
* Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position.
* Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
* Will be required to train/guide lower graded (or other trades) military/civilian employees.
* The employee may be in an on-call status and required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
* This is drug testing position. The employee will be subject to random drug tests. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
* Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
* This position is designated as a key position IA W AFI 36 507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartim /contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status
* if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available. The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously
