Agnico Eagle Drill and Blast Technician

Join Agnico Eagle as a Technician specializing in Underground Drill and Blast at the Meliadine site. You will promote safety and engineering excellence while ensuring optimal performance in drilling and blasting operations.

In this critical role, you will be part of the Engineering Department, working under the Leader of Drill and Blast. Your expertise will be key in generating drilling and blasting layouts, performing QA/QC inspections, and collaborating on production planning. You will ensure compliance with engineering practices to meet project goals while adhering to the Health & Safety Code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate detailed production drilling and blasting layouts

• Conduct QA/QC inspections for drilling and blasting activities

• Track drilling and blasting performances through databases

• Assist planners with mid-term drill and blast planning

• Provide data analysis to enhance productivity and reduce costs

Requirements:

• College degree in Mine Engineering or related field

• 3-4 years experience in underground mining

• 1 year as a drill and blast technician

• Proficiency in Deswik software and Microsoft Office

• Strong understanding of QA/QC practices in mining
