Partner Engineering & Science Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Director for our growing Health & Safety (H&S) group. The ideal candidate would report to our Asbury Park, New Jersey Office, but accommodations may be made depending on the candidate.
Responsibilities- H&S field studies to identify/assess physical, chemical or biological health hazards in the workplace.
- Field studies in industrial settings while observing industrial processes and collecting detailed notes, processing samples for submission to an industrial hygiene lab to develop corrective recommendations.
- Conduct safety training such as asbestos awareness, RTK, blood borne pathogens, fall protection, etc.
- Conduct safety related risk assessments and generate reports to assist clients with written safety programs and/or implementation of safety related activities.
- Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and other safety standards and recommendations (e.g. NFPA, DOT, ANSI, etc.).
- Conduct loss prevention investigations.
- Work hand in hand with relationship managers to develop new opportunities as well as bring H&S services in from existing clients.
- Help to develop new service areas and revenue streams.
- Meetings with relationship managers, staff and/or clients to educate them to our skill set and capabilities.
- Contact clients and schedule studies.
- Write and produce technical reports.
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects per deadlines and within budget.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Able to travel in state 30% of the time and out of the state 10% of the time.
- Communicate with clients throughout the term of the project.
- Maintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.
- Plan, schedule and track project timelines to ensure project progress status is on schedule.
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to clients.
- Identify and resolve issues with projects.
- Deliver appropriate progress reports (verbally or e‑mail), recommendations to clients.
- Manage client follow‑up, questions, and concerns.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong client relationships.
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients.
- Computer skills:
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Education: Bachelor Degree from an accredited College/University in Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Biological/Physical Sciences. Candidate should have a CSP and/or CIH.
Experience: 10+ years relevant experience.

Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English. Ability to also speak Spanish is desirable. - Hearing:
Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. - Speaking:
