CNC Machinist, Programmer & Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist, Programmer, and Operator to support metal component manufacturing and new product development. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of CNC machining and programming experience, with strong hands-on expertise operating, setting up, and programming Mazak Integrex i200 machines equipped with a GL loader.

Candidates must be proficient in ESPRIT CAD/CAM and capable of managing machining operations from programming and setup through production. Experience with additional CNC equipment, manual machining, and fixture design is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines, particularly Mazak Integrex i200 machines with GL loaders.
• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using ESPRIT CAD/CAM software.
• Set up and run machining equipment to produce precision metal components according to specifications.
• Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, process engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams on new product development.
• Develop and implement mistake-proofing methods to improve production quality and prevent errors.
• Design and create work holding fixtures and tooling for machining processes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Inspect machined components using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments.
• Apply basic mathematical skills to machining calculations, measurements, and production requirements.
• Maintain accurate machining programs, setup documentation, and production records.
• Support process improvements to enhance machining accuracy, efficiency, and product quality.
• Perform manual machining tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining and programming experience working with metal components.
• Hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
• Direct experience with Mazak Integrex i200 machines equipped with a GL loader.
• Proficiency in ESPRIT CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
• Proficiency with micrometers and other shop measuring equipment.
• Strong basic math, documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with machining setups, tooling, and work holding fixtures.
• Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Haas VF-2 CNC milling machines.
• Experience with five-axis milling machines.
• Experience operating Mori Seiki two-axis lathes.
• Manual machining experience.
• Fixture design and creation experience.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• High school diploma and technical education or machining-related training.
