The per-diem Nurse Practitioner - HIV Specialist is responsible for providing and supervising the quality, competency and quantity of health care services rendered to high risk populations with emphasis on individuals living with HIV and individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or queer (LGBTQ).

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

• Provides client teaching to individuals and families when appropriate

• Monitors quality and appropriateness of services provided

• Identifies new services or programs relevant to agency’s mission and philosophy

• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies and guidelines of primary care regulatory agencies

• Supervises staff in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practices

• Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in NJ

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an NLN accredited program

• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority; maintain a CDS and DEA

• 2+ years of primary or ambulatory care nursing experience required
  5. Business or management degree or experience preferred with demonstrated leadership skills

• Car and valid driver’s license

Working indoors. Exposure to blood, body fluids and communicable diseases. Sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing and walking. Client/customer contact
