Job Overview

The Parkside Suite Heatherwood is a Private Patient Unit situated within Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. It offers high standards of care with 10 in-patient rooms.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff nurse, who is looking for a stimulating and challenging environment to join our supportive and friendly team for a 12 month Secondment.

You should enjoy working as part of a team and demonstrate excellent customer care and communication skills. We are a mixed speciality ward therefore can offer excellent learning opportunities.

  • Responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision.
  • To participate and assist in systematic monitoring and evaluation of nursing practice.
  • To participate and assist in setting standards of patient care based on sound evidence-based findings, implementing these into practice.
  • Ensure that the nursing practices of the area comply with the Trust’s Nursing policies and procedures and maintain high standards of nursing practice.
  • To comply at all times with the NMC Code of Conduct.
  • Communicate effectively and liaise with all health care staff as appropriate.
  • To encourage and maintain good relationship with Medical Staff and other members of the Primary Care and Social Services teams in order to provide the best care.
  • To support the implementation and maintenance of Team Nursing within the clinical area, taking responsibility for a designated caseload of patients. Within this system of case management, co‑ordinate and monitor the progress of patients along their critical pathway, reporting any variance from the pathway.
  • Take responsibility for co‑ordinating individual patient’s journey from admission to discharge.
  • To maintain an excellent working knowledge of the equipment used within the department, ensuring that it is in safe working order.
  • Day to day you will be assisting patients, providing support to areas with high demand, and providing quality nursing.
