Accounts Assistant

Hays are working with a well-established and reputable company to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to join a stable business within a supportive and professional office environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance and payroll function, ensuring all financial processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with payroll processing
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Supporting month-end duties
• Handling finance-related queries
• Producing reports and updating financial information using Excel and Sage Line 50
• Ensuring all finance administration is accurate and up to date

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will be:

• Highly detail-oriented and organised
• Knowledgeable and experienced within accounts and payroll
• IT proficient, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Sage Line 50
• Able to manage their workload effectively and meet deadlines
• A proactive and reliable team player with strong communication skills

Ideally, candidates will:

• Hold an AAT qualification, or
• Be Qualified by Experience (QBE)
