Working with an enterprise network architecture and engineering team supporting our Federal customer, the Cloud Engineer provides network engineering guidance into Cloud specific deployment projects and application architecture. The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, test, and implementation of secure and reliable network connectivity to cloud services (e.g., commercial cloud services providers (CSPs), private cloud, and hybrid cloud) leveraging the current network environment to facilitate migration of applications to the cloud.
Responsibilities include:

Roles and Responsibilities:Experience building Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI), Netbond, Direct Connect and VPN connections.Lead Migration from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking.Deploy and manage virtual servers in the Cloud.Deploy and manage containers in the Cloud.Deploy and manage elastic IPs and elastic network interfaces in the Cloud.Deploy and manage Cloud based load balancing.Research, evaluate, and recommend new cloud technologies.Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, company management and departmental clients. Assist in internal training programs.Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge,
Skills & Experience:At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Network Design, Network Engineering, Network Operational Support and Cloud engineering experience of Medium to Large enterprise network environments:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public and Private Cloud.Azure Cloud.Google Cloud.Experience with Cloud Service Routers (CSRv).Experience building Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI).Experience migrating from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking.Experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management.Experience deploying and managing virtual servers in the Cloud.Experience deploying and managing containers in the Cloud.Experience deploying and managing elastic IPs and elastic network interfaces in the Cloud.Experience deploying and managing Cloud based load balancers.Experience with implementing audit trails.Experience with Cloud based monitoring solutions.Physical Demands:
The physical demands of the job include bending, crawling, sitting, lifting 50lbs at most.
