Senior PWB Design Engineer (Hybrid/Remote)

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Printed Wiring Board (PWB) Design Engineer to join our Defense Solutions Group.

CW is looking for a seasoned Senior PWB Design Engineer to develop and release complex PWB / Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) in an R&D Environment. You must be able to work as part of a team with internal or external third‑party designers and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering experts and program development managers to execute full PCB design. The designs will be created in accordance with applicable design standards.

Must be able to apply CAD, CAM, CAE tool skills to final PCB Design and drawings.

• Generate PCB CAD layout design data to meet product requirements.
• Aid in checking completed design layouts and drawings to certify standards, procedures, specifications, manufacturability and accuracy of physical dimensions.
• Conduct comprehensive design reviews with engineering and manufacturing teams through design completion to confirm costs and requirements.
• Plan and execute PCB design tasks in accordance with project schedules.
• Participate in PCB product failure analysis and provide insights and/or recommendations to engineering teams.
• Release completed designs into CW Document Control System (Agile). Assure released documents conform to standards.

• Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience, 10+ years preferred, routing mixed signal, high‑speed digital (100 - 400 GHz), analog and low‑power high current designs in high reliability environments.
• Extensive knowledge and experience designing high‑density interconnect (HDI), including dense double‑sided PCBs with 26+ layers/multi‑lamination rigid blind/buried via with uVia structures.
• Solid command experience using Siemens Expedition (PCB) as well as Siemens Expedition DX Designer (SCH) tools.
• Ability to generate parts for the PCB environment, update/maintain libraries, and control integration to SCH files.
• Ability to generate fabrication drawings per ASME and CW standards.
• Understanding of IPC‑600, 610, 6012 and 7351 industry standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office:
  Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and information to peers and teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines in high‑pressure environment, ability to drive to result and hold self‑accountable to continuously improve skills.
• Self‑starter with ability to work through ambiguity and evolving project requirements.
• Ability to lead and mentor others in creating/architecting complex designs to completion while on schedule and in team‑based projects.
