Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will work in a fast‑paced production and R&D environment focused on quality and attention to detail. The role supports engineering design, leads special projects, liaisons between engineering and manufacturing, and collaborates across stakeholders to ensure product quality and validation. Responsibilities include analyzing technical data, providing on‑site assistance, developing technical content, and mentoring team members.

You will be part of the Agile Development Group, specializing in next‑generation technologies for advanced unmanned air systems (UAS/UAV), radar, weapon systems, and RF sensor technologies.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with acceptance testing of products and subassemblies.
  • Run automated and manual test scripts for acceptance testing, software/firmware loading, and sensor calibration.
  • Operate network analyzers, power meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other equipment.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot non‑conforming product.
  • Recommend process updates and review test documentation in support of engineering.
  • Verify tested product quality and interpret test results to validate compliance with drawings and other requirements.
  • Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety; uphold corporate safety standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, and engineering teams.
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry 25–50 pounds regularly.
  • Perform prolonged walking, bending, sitting, standing, climbing, and reaching.
  • Operate manufacturing tools and equipment; handle repetitive tasks.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises.
  • Comply with all applicable personal protective equipment requirements (respirators, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s Degree and 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with C++, C#, Python, Java, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Test Stand.
  • Experience in electronics assembly, particularly harness assembly.
  • Factory acceptance testing experience in aerospace or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and use of hand tools for assembly.
  • Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certification.
  • J‑STD‑001 certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and interconnect diagrams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills within a diverse team.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to organizational success.
  • Experience with ESD and FOD controls.
  • Understanding of product quality processes.
