Edge Core is seeking an experienced Associate Engineer, Automation and Controls to join our dynamic team and help build and operate the next generation of hyperscale data center infrastructure. In this role, you’ll support our mission critical Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring systems as the on-site subject matter expert.

This role blends hands‑on technical work with system-level thinking: troubleshooting equipment in the field, integrating new technologies, applying system and device level updates, analyzing performance data, and ensuring all components communicate effectively.

  • Operational support of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) at Edge Core Data Centers.
  • Support system programming, troubleshooting, and quality assurance validation (QA/QC) during commissioning.
  • Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and repair BMS, EPMS, and DCIM systems to ensure they operate securely, accurately, and efficiently, issuing timely alarms and notifications.
  • Maintain standard BMS, EPMS and DCIM system design guidelines for functional layout, graphics, functionality, and alarms to ensure consistency across all data centers.
  • Work with Core Operations and peer teams to manage system configurations, updates, troubleshooting and repair on live in-production critical control systems and devices.
  • Create and maintain documentation, policies, procedures, test plans, and change management records.
  • Support cybersecurity efforts by managing firmware updates, backups, vulnerability remediation, and system restoration.
  • Provide on-call support for emergency incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend improvements for system reliability.
  • Coordinate delivery of vendor supplied services.
  • Ensure system compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ANSI, ASHRAE, NEMA, ISA).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Security is a shared responsibility. All employees are required to comply with company security policies and procedures and to help protect company information, systems, and assets in the course of their daily work.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical or electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity Technology or Computer Sciences desired.
  • Six years equivalent experience building, maintaining and operating Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring systems (including Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure systems, etc.)
  • Strong experience in standards development, process frameworks, and roadmap planning for commercial and/or industrial control systems.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of Building Automation and Electrical Power Monitoring system designs.
  • Ability to perform system and device level troubleshooting on complex industrial control systems, sensors and devices.
  • Strong understanding of operational technology (OT) networks and common control system communication protocols and standards (Modbus, Bacnet, OPC/UA, MQTT, serial and ethernet networks, etc)
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, with flexibility to accommodate changing project and business requirements.
