Overview

Air Culinaire Worldwide, LLC – Full Time, US-based position

Location:

DC Kitchen, Ashburn, VA, US

Salary Range: $20.00 Hourly

Job Purpose

The Expeditor’s primary duty is to ensure that all orders are accurate, prioritized by time and location, include all specialty shopping items, accoutrements are free of allergens, are HACCP compliant, and are packaged, labeled and delivered on time to the correct location.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize orders, pull and pack orders, conduct quality assurance, verify order completeness, ensure appropriate packaging and labeling, manage delivery timing, and perform miscellaneous procurement in compliance with ACES specifications for Air Culinaire orders.
  • Verify that food quality and specifications match the kitchen-issued specification in the software system.
  • Check all food quality against specifications to ensure presentation matches the provided specification.
  • Participate in direct customer service by phone, email, and in-person (as applicable) and obtain feedback regarding product and service.
  • Relay feedback and suggestions to the Catering Director or General Manager to monitor, maintain and improve quality.
  • Act as central kitchen lead for quality and accuracy; act as on-site problem solver for issues requiring immediate action.
  • Make decisions to require that food be remade, re-displayed, or modified to meet client needs.
  • Resolve issues following company procedures related to customer quality, satisfaction, safety, and cost.
  • Assist with picking up supplies as needed and routine vehicle cleaning and maintenance.
  • Understand and maintain quality control and food-safety procedures during delivery.
  • Dress professionally according to ACW procedures and company-approved uniform.
  • Assist with assembling silverware units and stocking items in the kitchens; manage shopping lists (3 days in advance) and maintain the shopping shelf for fulfillment.
  • Meet weekly with the GM to ensure ACW standards reflect in day-to-day operations.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and drive in compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Cross-train to prepare or produce food in the kitchen or drive as a secondary duty when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Operations Manager.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience required.
  • Previous face-to-face customer service experience in aviation, food services, or hospitality essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in email, internet usage, and basic office software.
  • Prior knowledge of aviation terminology preferred; FDA regulations and safe food handling required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Prior hospitality/food Expo and delivery experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift hours based on business needs.
Operational Demands

Flexibility to work schedule required, including weekends and holidays. Candidate must be able to travel per the current ACW Travel Policy.

Additional Requirements
