Role Overview

As a Branch Ambassador, you’ll use your love of working with people and sharing product knowledge to play a vital role in our customers’ banking experience. You’ll perform a wide variety of transactions—including check cashing, deposits, transfers and withdrawals—while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to established operational policies and procedures. Equally important is the ability to resolve customer inquiries quickly and efficiently, delivering an extraordinary customer experience.

In our rapidly changing tech and financial environment, we need ambassadors who are adaptable and have a growth mindset, in addition to being customer experience‑obsessed. Our branch team exists to enhance the financial lives of people in the communities we serve. Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with customers and provide engaging service.
  • Help reduce customer financial anxiety by determining personal and business financial needs.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security policies and federal regulations.
  • Support customers in all areas of the branch, from cash handling to branch rotation based on customer needs.
  • Improve the overall retail customer experience with fewer handoffs; each ambassador is an expert.
  • Continuously learn about Capital One products, services and experiences to guide customers toward financial goals.
  • Showcase digital tools and train customers on mobile and online experiences using branch laptops and iPads.
  • Collaborate with an energized team of banking professionals.
  • Research and answer customer inquiries to enhance retention and engagement.
  • Travel between branches in the assigned local area to support the market.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification.
  • At least 1 year of Retail, Sales or Customer Service experience.
  • At least 6 months of cash handling experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree.
  • 2+ years of Retail, Sales, or Banking Experience.

Salary ranges by location (full‑time annual):
Ashburn, VA – $48,048;
Chantilly, VA – $48,048;
Gainesville, VA – $48,048;
Herndon, VA – $48,048;
Leesburg, VA – $48,048;
Vienna, VA – $48,048;
Warrenton, VA – $48,048. Candidates in other locations will receive the pay range for that location.
