Technical Lead, IT​/Tech, Systems Engineer

Overview

The position is focused on delivering performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions. Our team is looking for a technical leader that supports a cloud-based, large-scale enterprise with multiple applications and integrating new technologies to optimize efficiency and improve performance.

This government position REQUIRES US Citizenship and to be in Ashburn, VA, twice a week

• Lead a team of 15 through the development of a solution implementing workflow and rules technologies integrating various components, subsystems, or processes
• Connect and integrate disparate software, hardware, or other systems into a single unified system
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise within a complex system or network infrastructure
• Analyze current and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified software-based solutions and identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Develop software-based solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines, determine and implement new requirements using the Agile Methodology
• Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives
• Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members. May communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.). Work to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches
• Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies including cloud services
• Use software tools to automate the execution of tests on software applications or systems

• 5 years of experience leading teams of 15 and/or initiative-based technology implementations
• 10 years of experience in implementing software solutions
• 20 years of experience in the software industry
• Experience with workflows and rules engines
• Experience in Java including extensive knowledge of modern Java architectures
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL and Cloud Native technologies
• Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts
• Experience evaluating business needs, requirements to identify appropriate solutions, and ability to resolve complex technical issues
• Experience applying a continuous integration/deployment approach to project delivery; this includes adapting to changing requirements, fostering collaboration, and rapidly delivering high quality solutions
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the senior levels of management and the Customer
• Experience executing process improvement for large scale programs

• Knowledge and experience in supporting refactoring of legacy systems
• Familiarity with AI concepts
• Experience with Redis/Elasticache implementations
• DHS/CBP Public Trust Clearance
• Experience in the following tools and/or technologies: JDK
  21, gRPC, Agile modern best-practices
• Web Services including REST and SOAP interface development
• Git
• Harness
• AWS EKS
• Messaging solutions for app-DB and app-app interfaces
