As a Senior Solutions Engineer at QTS, you will be the primary technical resource for the sales teams and the sales resource for the operations teams. You will determine customer requirements during the evaluation stage of the sales process and provide technical solutions. You will answer both business and technical questions from customers while demonstrating the benefits of products and services.

You are the direct interface with internal teams in order to assemble and present technical, contractual, and service order information to our customers.

• Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations.
• Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience.
• 5 or more years of experience with enterprise and hyperscale colocation design to include power, cooling and networking (preferred).

• Strong desire and self‑motivated to learn and expand knowledge of technical and interpersonal skills.
• Able to demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and technical knowledge by providing innovative yet supportable solutions.
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
