We are seeking a detail-oriented Database Administrator Junior to join our team in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. You will be responsible for helping to manage the database and servers for asset information, quotes, shipments, etc.

• Design and maintain databases
• Manage database backups, permissions, patches
• Manage all jobs and SSIS packages
• Execute incoming ETL (extract, transform, load) and ad hoc reporting assignments
• Update database records using information provided by field personnel
• Provide assistance to field personnel by answering questions
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity
• Monitor server jobs for failure, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
• Design and maintain database documentation
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operational performance, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Candidate will identify opportunities for cost savings, and process/procedure enhancements
• Perform other administrative and support functions as needed
• Complete assignments with independent thought and action within the scope of specific assignments
• Work cooperatively with other employees, government customers, and other industry partners

• Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is required, version 2019 is a plus.
• Experience with Service Now is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus but not required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain. Preference will be given to those applicants with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree w/ some experience is required or the equivalent of education and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
• A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required.
