Supports hardware and software installation, configuration, operation, and ongoing maintenance of an organization’s computer/data center. Operates monitors and performs troubleshooting of equipment, networks, and data processing/batching. Assists with logging and documentation of equipment and processes. Responsibilities may also include cabling, racking, and server installations.

• Provides operational and technical support for assigned data center computer systems and associated peripheral equipment.
• Monitors performance of online systems using software support tools to complete all scheduled jobs in a timely manner.
• Performs standard maintenance and repair.
• Interfaces with clients and appropriate support groups to escalat[ion] issues for resolution.
• Reassigns job priorities according to precedent policy and procedures.
• Participates in on-call rotation and responds to alerts and system issues.
• Updates systems and applications.
• Partners with vendors and component suppliers to replace or repair failed equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Technical certification or Associate Degree may be required.
• Generally 1-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
