Overview
CI S Secure will be leading a multi-year program in partnership with an industry Integrator to deliver a next-generation secure communication system for aircraft operations. Based in Ashburn, VA, this initiative will produce a ruggedized, military-grade VOIP solution that enables secure voice and data communication across multiple classified domains. The program spans the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and preliminary design through prototyping, integration, and verification testing, executed under AS6500, AS9100, and CMMI standards.
The Supply Chain Manager will serve as a main figure in the procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing and logistics functions. This effort offers an opportunity to help shape a program from the ground up and build a technical framework that will define long-term success.

Our primary customers include organizations within the defense, intelligence, law enforcement, and homeland security communities whose missions depend on secure communication in challenging environments. CIS Secure Computing, Inc. serves the secure communications market as a leading provider of communications and computing solutions for government and commercial customers. CIS designs and manufactures a wide range of products, including secure telephones (under the TSG protocol), secure computers, encrypted tactical communication systems, secure tele- and video-conferencing systems, and various specialty systems used in secure networks.
Responsibilities- Manage procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics functions to support production and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-1686 for ESD-sensitive components across supply chain activities, including storage, packaging, and handling.
- Oversee supplier selection, performance, and qualification, ensuring suppliers meet aerospace and defense standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and demand forecasts to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth workflow.
- Coordinate material handling and packaging procedures that comply with military specifications and internal ESD protocols.
- Support internal and external audits, including those related to DoD or aerospace compliance requirements.
- Track and report on supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery, supplier quality, lead times, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and ensure documentation supports traceability and regulatory compliance.
- This position anticipates on-site work with regular hours, Monday-Friday. Occasional telework may be considered and will be discussed as part of the interview process.
- Primary work location will be the CIS Secure headquarters located in Ashburn, VA. Minimal local travel is anticipated for this position.
- All candidates must be a US Citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.
- All candidates must be clearable; an active and current DoD Secret clearance is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, certifications and related work experience.
- Master’s degree, desired.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP certification, desired.
- Five or more (5+) years of supply chain or materials management experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Electronics Manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1686, Change 2, Parts Management.
