Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician who works with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and help automate and scale our network.

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license; company transportation will not be provided.

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.

• Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment & troubleshooting methodologies.
• Industry standard certifications (BICSI, CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
• Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters.
• Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF).
